What is a benefit window?

A benefit window is a period during which you can review and manage your benefit selections through the My Benefits page in the employee portal.

During an open benefit window, you may be able to:

  • Add new benefits
  • Update existing benefits
  • Renew benefits that are due to expire
  • Remove benefits (where permitted)

How do I know if a benefit window is open?

If a benefit window is open, you'll be able to access benefit actions from the My Benefits page.
Benefits that are available for action will display appropriate buttons such as:

  • View / Select
  • View / Amend
  • View / Renew

Where can I find benefits that I don't currently have?

Benefits that you're not currently enrolled in are displayed in the Available Benefits section.

These benefits:

  • Are available during the current benefit window
  • Are not currently included in your benefit package

Each benefit tile includes a View / Select button.

Selecting View / Select allows you to:

  • Review available options
  • Add the benefit to your package

How do I add a benefit?

To add a benefit:

  1. Select View / Select from the benefit tile.
  2. Review the benefit details.
  3. Select Add Benefit.
  4. Complete any required options or selections.
  5. Complete the Review & Confirm process.

Why can't I see a benefit in Available Benefits?

A benefit may not appear in Available Benefits if:

  • The benefit is not included in the current benefit window.
  • You're already enrolled in the benefit.
  • You are not eligible for the benefit.
  • The enrolment window for that benefit is closed.

Where can I find benefits that I already have?

Benefits that you're currently enrolled in appear in the My Benefits Package section.
Depending on the actions available, the benefit tile may display:

  • View / Amend
  • View / Renew

What does "View / Amend" mean?

View / Amend appears for benefits that are already part of your benefit package and can be changed during the current window.

Selecting View / Amend allows you to:

  • Review your current selection
  • Update available options
  • Change coverage levels (where applicable)
  • End the benefit (where permitted)

How do I update a benefit?

To update an existing benefit:

  1. Select View / Amend.
  2. Review your current selection.
  3. Make any available changes.
  4. Select Update Benefit.
  5. Complete the Review & Confirm process.

What does "View / Renew" mean?

View / Renew appears for benefits that are approaching their end date and are eligible for renewal.

Selecting View / Renew allows you to review your current benefit and renew it for the next enrolment period.

How do I renew a benefit?

To renew a benefit:

  1. Select View / Renew.
  2. Review the benefit details.
  3. Confirm any required selections.
  4. Select Renew Benefit (if available).
  5. Complete the Review & Confirm process.

Final Step: Review & Confirm Your Benefit Selections

Any changes you make to your benefits are saved as pending and are not submitted automatically.

To finalise and submit your benefit selections, you must complete the Review & Confirm process. This is the final step in the enrolment process.

A Review & Confirm button is displayed at the bottom of the page and follows you as you move through the benefit selection process, making it easy to review and submit your changes at any time before the window closes.

How do I submit my benefit changes?

  1. Select Review & Confirm.
  2. Review all pending benefit changes.
  3. Confirm the details are correct.
  4. Submit your selections.

Once submitted, your benefit elections will be processed according to the rules of the current benefit window.

Important: If you make changes and then log out without completing Review & Confirm, your changes will remain pending and will not be submitted. An automated reminder email will be sent to prompt you to return and complete the process. If you do not complete Review & Confirm, your updates and benefit selections will not be saved or processed.

Managing Your Selections Before the Window Closes

While the benefit window remains open, you can return to the My Benefits page at any time to review your selections, make changes, add additional benefits, and complete the Review & Confirm process.

Once the benefit window has closed:

  • Benefits that were not selected and submitted will no longer be available for enrolment and will not be visible in Available Benefits.
  • Benefits that were selected and successfully submitted will appear in your My Benefits Package section.
  • No further changes can be made until another eligible benefit window becomes available.

Important: Selecting a benefit alone does not complete the enrolment process. You must complete the Review & Confirm step before the window closes for your selections to be submitted and processed.
