Why is my benefit showing as needing attention?

When a benefit window opens, some benefits may require your attention before they can continue.

This can happen if:

  • Required information is missing (for example, beneficiaries).
  • A previously selected benefit is no longer valid.
  • You're no longer eligible for the benefit.
  • The cost of the benefit has changed.

Benefits that require attention will be highlighted in red on the My Benefits page.

How do I resolve a benefit showing an error?

To see what’s causing the issue and how to fix it:

  1. Select Resolve on the benefit tile.
  2. Review the message displayed on the Benefit Details page.
  3. Update any required information.
  4. Select Update Benefit to save your changes.
  5. Complete the Review & Confirm process to submit the update.

Important: Updating the benefit alone does not submit the change. You must complete Review & Confirm for the update to be processed.

Why has my benefit been marked as "Benefit cost has changed"?

The system regularly checks benefit costs and may identify changes caused by:

  • Salary changes
  • Benefit price changes
  • Updated rate tables

Cost changes may be identified when:

  • You submit benefits through Review & Confirm
  • A pending benefit request is approved

When this happens, the benefit will be marked as Benefit cost has changed and will require your attention.

How do I accept a cost change?

Option 1: Accept the updated cost

  1. Open the Review & Confirm page.
  2. Review the updated cost.
  3. Select Confirm Benefit Selection.

This confirms that you're happy to continue with the revised cost.

Option 2: Review the benefit before confirming

  1. Open the benefit.
  2. Review the updated cost.
  3. Select Update Benefit.
  4. Complete the Review & Confirm process.

If permitted, you may also choose to remove the benefit instead.

What happens after I resolve the issue?

Once you've updated the benefit and completed Review & Confirm:

  • The issue will be cleared.
  • Your benefit selections will be updated.
  • The benefit will no longer show as requiring attention.

Important: If you do not complete the Review & Confirm process, the issue will remain unresolved and your updates will not be processed.
