What is a Fulfilment Date?
For certain benefits, you’ll now be asked to select a Fulfilment Date. This is the date you expect to receive or collect your benefit (for example, delivery of a product or access to a service).
- Your benefit start date will now be based on this fulfilment date, rather than starting automatically when you make your selection.
- Your end date and any deductions (if applicable) will also be calculated from this date.
Why this matters to you
Using a Fulfilment Date ensures that:
- Your benefit doesn’t start too early (before you receive it)
- You’re not paying for something before you can use it
- Your deductions and benefit period align with actual delivery or availability
This is especially useful for benefits like physical goods or services that take time to arrange.
What you’ll see when selecting a benefit
When you choose a benefit that uses Fulfilment Dates:
You’ll see an expected timeline section showing:
- Start date
- End date
- Duration of the benefit
- The Fulfilment Date will not be pre-filled, so you can choose a date that suits your needs.
- When you adjust the Fulfilment Date, the system will automatically recalculate your start and end dates.
Things to keep in mind
- Changing the Fulfilment Date will update your benefit schedule and any related costs.
- The dates shown before you enter a fulfilment date are only a guide, they will adjust once you confirm your preferred date.
- Not all benefits use this feature; it only applies where timing depends on receiving a product or service.
Example
If you order a bike through a benefit scheme:
- You select a Fulfilment Date based on when the bike will be ready for collection.
- Your benefit start date begins on that date, not when you placed the order.
- Your payments and benefit duration are aligned with when you actually receive the bike.
